The length of the baton is important because if a baton is too long, it could interfere with the dancing. To find the perfect baton, abide by this small rule of thumb. Have the person stand and extend their arm in front of them. Measure from the persons neck to the end of their middle finger. Use that measurement for the size of the baton.
