The Dream2Life Dance Praiseathon will be held April 24, 2010 at The Life Church on the corner of Cullen & Yellowstone. The event will start at 12 noon Saturday, the 24th of April. Each dancer/dance group will be professionally video recorded. After editing each performance, each group will receive their own personal copy of their ministry performance. Each group will also be a part of a DVD Compilation.
Registration is currently taking place and will end on April 8, 2010

The baton twirling competition will be held in Orlando, Florida. This is Twirl-mania’s 15th year!
“Upwards of 5,000 competitors from all over the world will compete under one roof at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.”
Twirlers from ages 7 to 16 will be competing this Friday February, 19 2010. They will also march in Downtown Disney Parade “Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade.”

Watching this mime dancer gave me goose bumps. He did an excellent job performing to Mercy Me’s song “I can Only Imagine”. Seeing this Christian, praise dancing, just deepened my belief that dance is truly the highest form of worship.

More and more churches nationwide are incorporating dance into their worship service. This is great news for teenagers who sometimes find the regular church service boring. When dance is incorporated into worship it allows the participants to praise God with their whole bodies not just their voice. Many young people love the idea.

1) Ask your Pastor or Minister for permission to add the dance segment into the worship service.
2) Find praise group members-ask teens from the neighborhood too.
3) Coordinate practice times.
4) Decide if the praise dancing will be choreographed or free-style or both.
5) Consider the outfits and props you will need to make your new dance ministry group look professional.
6) Be creative and have fun!
